Roblox officially warns that offers of free Robux, memberships, or valuable items are scams when they promise to deliver them through supposed tricks, codes, or external generators. These pages can try to get your password, personal data, or even trick you into downloading dangerous files.
What are Robux?
Robux is Roblox's virtual currency, used to buy avatar items, clothing, premium experiences, and Game Passes. Because Robux has real value inside the platform, it's often used as bait by people trying to trick players.
Why "Robux generators" are fake
They usually work the same way: you find a page claiming "ROBUX GENERATOR 2026 — WORKING." You enter, pick how many Robux you want, and an animation says "Generating Robux…" — but eventually a requirement appears: "Enter your password," "Complete this survey," "Download this app." That's where you should stop. An animation on a page doesn't mean Robux are actually being sent to your account.
Never give away your password
Your Roblox password is private. You never need to give it to anyone to receive a prize, and you shouldn't enter it on unknown pages promising Robux — even if a page looks exactly like Roblox.
Watch out for phishing
Phishing works by making a fake page look legitimate. Someone messages you "You won Robux, claim it here," the page looks like Roblox, you type your username and password — and you've just handed your data to someone else.
Warning signs of a scam
Turn on two-factor verification
It adds an extra layer of protection when logging in, so knowing your password alone isn't enough. Also use a different password than the one you use on other platforms.
What about giveaways?
There's a difference between a fake "generator" claiming to magically create Robux, and a legitimate giveaway run by a person or community. Even in a real giveaway, never give away your password — a real prize never requires your credentials.

- Check for activity you don't recognize.
- Use only Roblox's official support channels to recover your account.
The bottom line
Nobody needs your password to give you something. If a supposed prize is conditioned on giving away your credentials, that's a huge red flag — no matter if it's 100, 10,000, or 1,000,000 Robux. Your account is worth more than a fake promise.
